    Job Description
    The Greater Reading Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (GRCEDC), was formed as a result of a strategic alignment of three existing business organizations serving Berks County, PA – Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Greater Reading Economic Partnership; Greater Berks Development Fund.   This unique and innovative partnership, which includes a 1,200-member Chamber of Commerce and Berks County’s two leading economic development organizations, represents a comprehensive approach to support the business community.   The primary mission of the GRCEDC is to encourage business attraction, business expansion, job creation and business investment, in an effort to foster and promote a thriving economy throughout Berks County.    By aligning the three organizations, the GRECEC can provide a more comprehensive set of supports and services, and act as the single point of contact for companies looking to locate or expand in Berks County.   In addition, through effective and ongoing advocacy efforts, the GRCEDC represents a powerful voice in promoting policies that foster a more business friendly environment throughout the region.  The GRCEDC offices are located in the City of Reading, PA.   www.greaterreading.org  The GRCEDC is currently looking to staff the following position:

    Data Analytics & Research Coordinator: Serve as the lead staff person assigned to collect, analyze, prepare and disseminate timely market and economic data on behalf of the GRCEDC and its divisions.  Conduct original research to improve GRCEDC’s ability to market the assets of Berks County internally and externally.   Assist in responding to requests for information, including responses to RFIs from site selectors and prospects, as well as GRCEDC members.   Develop working partnerships with other organizations and associations in an effort to coordinate data collection related to Berks County and the regional economy.   Support the GRCEDC marketing and communications department as needed.   B.A. Degree in Business, Economics, or related, and a minimum of 5-years experience working in economic development or a related field.  Ability to communicate/present statistical data in a printed and electronic formats and designed for non-technical audiences required.  Competency with web-based databases (e.g. Salesforce.com, CoStar.com, Hoovers.com, etc.).
