    Event Description:
    Presenter: PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary John Quiqley

    Join the Chamber to hear PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary John Quigley discuss the department’s approach to collaboration, and his commitment to demonstrating that economic development and the protection pf public health and the environment are inextricably linked. DEP’s mission is to protect Pennsylvania's air, land and water from pollution and to provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment.
     
    Secretary John Quigley has had a diverse career in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors, including serving as mayor of the City of Hazleton, and government relations manager with Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future, and holding management positions with industry-leading manufacturing companies, four years operating his own small business, and serving as the secretary of Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). He brings a unique perspective to his leadership of DEP as the first and only person in the history of Pennsylvania to hold the positions of both DCNR and DEP Secretary.

    This event is the second of our Forum Issues Series for the programming year.
