Grassroots Issues Series - Energy & Infrastructure Kicks Off Thursday October 11
Karen A. Harbert, President and CEO, Institute for 21st Century Energy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce will discuss our own energy reality and, more importantly, what opportunities lie before us to change our energy future, create jobs and generate investment in our economy. There will also be an Industry Perspective provided by Dan Adamo, Business Development Director UGI Utilities, Inc. and Lillian Harris, Manager Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, UGI Corp. They will provide an update on the Commonwealth Pipeline which will allow more direct access to Marcellus Shale gas. Chuck Mathias, Director - East Penn will provide an update on their UltraBattery Smart Grid Project with DOE. Penn State Berks will have a table top display of their on campus Micro Grid Project. In order to vote by absentee ballot in Pennsylvania you must be traveling on Election Day or be physically unable to cast your vote at the polls. If you think you might be traveling outside of your voting precinct on Election Day, click on Absentee Ballot Application to download form.

Last day to apply for an absentee ballot is October 30.
Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive absentee ballots is November 2.
